Good etiquette enables people to operate in a way that does not offend, but makes life more pleasant for others. It begins on the inside. If we have a healthy self-esteem and a high regard for others, good etiquette will follow as a natural part of who we are. There is evidence that this skill is greatly needed in society today.
MEET THE FOUNDER
Christene McDonald-Smith is on a mission to promote proper, acceptable behaviors in everyone and in all settings, with an emphasis on the youth. To help make this a reality, she has established All Seasons School of Etiquette, which specializes in the training and refinement of Adults and children 7 years and older in all things etiquette. As an experienced teacher in the public school system, she has seen first-hand, the need for this service, and is excited to pursue her goal.
Christene, a Certified Etiquette Consultant, hails from the beautiful island of Jamaica, where she worked for over twenty-five years in the public school system. She obtained her formal etiquette certification from - From the Inside-Out School of Etiquette, in Lauderhill, Florida. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Media and Communication, and a Master of Science in Reading and English Language Arts Education. Christene is passionate about her work, and brings this enthusiasm into her workshops.
In addition to teaching, while in Jamaica, she also focused on other aspects of youth development by serving as Faculty Advisor for the Literary and Debating Clubs, and coach to the debate teams at Jonathan Grant and Innswood High Schools, training them in Public Speaking and Delivery. She also trained a Junior Speaking Choir, and guided them into winning their first Speech Award in the JCDC’s National Festival of Arts. Her work with young people was not limited to schools, but also included church and the wider community. Through these avenues, and for many years, she worked assiduously on projects to raise funds for youth education and empowerment.
In the USA, as a public high school teacher, she has continued her work with the youth in the Orange County Public Schools District by offering after-school tutoring for students with this need, participating in the "Football Mom" mentorship program, and assisting with Debate Coaching. She also supports Hope4Kids Global Mission Incorporated in Guyana. As a result of her voluntary work with the youth, she has been presented with awards from the Sydenham SDA Church and Innswood High School (in Jamaica) and Hope4Kids Global Mission Inc., based in Apopka Florida. She is a committed member of her church, and continues to do charitable work. In her spare time Christene loves to travel with her husband DaCosta, and spend time with her family.
